warmth in the coldness

Yesterday morning I found a quite tiny rose blooming in a pot in my garden which is far from that of multicolor.
The rose looks like burning fire with a match and my cold fingertip touched it in a spontaneous way.

Yesterday it was Setsubun( 節分), literally means "season division" by lunar calender.
Today, the following day of Setsubun, is called Risshun(立春) that means the very beginning of spring.
It is a little odd that I felt as if spring had already come yesterday, and today we are back to
winter again with cold rain.

Yesterday my husband and I walked with my dog enjoying the blessed sunlight and warmth.
Bamboo grove which was seen in a distance became closer.
Each bamboo must have some new green shoots just like treasure which is still on the inside, and each will shed old leaves when spring has come.

The sunlight looks whitish through the branches of some bare trees.
We have to wait a little longer until the buds will be easy to notice.

There was little water in the pond where we destined for.
My shadow on the dry pond looks bulky compared to that of my husband looking like one of bare trees, strangely enough ...

I talked to him,

" It's cold,really"

his voice sounds alongside me,saying so

and that's warm

How wonderful to find that sweet rose blooming! Your pictures and descriptions made me feel like I was walking along with you. I especially like the shadows and the ducks (or are they seagulls?).

Thank you very much. I'm glad to hear your idea on my pics. The couple around the pond is of ducks, I think. They sometimes walk in the wild park where the pond sets in and ask for lunch.

Macy
Thank you for visiting.
I suppose that winter is quite long there.
Your unique ideas on your posts always amaze me.

The temperature are so different day by day.
I hope your sprain will be better sooner and you will be able to see landscapes in this season.

Lucky you, living in a country where the roses bloom beginning of February! ;-)
We are desperately waiting for warmth and sunshine here in Germany, but our German winter has not finished yet!

This rose is quite small but seems to be tough.
It is spring by old calender, besides the temperature is not stable here and we have to be patient.
Thank you for your comment. Stay warm.

Haricot,
This is my favorite poem. How good it is to have someone whom we can share things!

I clearly remember your photo of bamboo grove in which there is a mysteriously bright spot.

Isn't it wonderful to find a lovely garden surprise? The shadow photos are lovely... I had to look twice to find your husband and Mr. and Mrs. Duck are a stunning couple. My photo ego would require that I crop closely around subject and shadow, print, frame, and proudly display those handsome ducks. The poem is perfect! Thank you for bringing a peaceful moment to my very hectic week! Blessings...

I love your poetic outlook on life. The idea of the little rose being like fire in the winter... and the thought of trees having treasure inside them. It's lovely.

Thank you very much for this.
Recent temperature is much lower than those of days I wrote about...patient, patient...

Last rose of summerでもないし、不思議ですね。

Oh,No,no!細かなところまで見抜かれてしまっています、、、。
